ANIMAL HUSBANDRY WITH BIOGREEN
PRODUCTS
Some of us
who work with horses, cattle, hogs and other animals daily have
been experimenting with the natural TEA TREE OIL products.
We have used these to effectively replace harsh chemicals and
expensive salves and oils. The properties of the amazing AUSTRALIAN
TEA TREE OIL have been so effective when treating us, that
we have taken it to the stable and have found these formulas to
be as effective as their chemical counterparts, and in most cases
to be even more effective.
The oils from the AUSTRALIAN TEA TREE (Melaleuca Alternifolia)
possess these qualities:
- is a natural antiseptic
- is an extremely effective fungicide
- has an unusual ability to penetrate
- will desensitize nerve endings
Keeping these qualities in mind, you will see why these formulas
work as well as they do.
The products used are from BioGreen Systems. BioGreen does not
necessarily recommend these uses for their products. These are
uses that some have found effective by using them in this manner.
HORSES
WOUNDS,
CUTS AND ABRASIONS:
SOOTHING OINTMENT with one or two drops of TEA TREE OIL.
Place the ointment in the palm of your hand and add the oil. Mix
and apply to the wound. Before applying any medication, wash all
wounds with LIQUID HAND SOAP.
An antiseptic
spray for wounds can be mixed as follows:
Add 2 teaspoons BIOSOL and ¼ to ½ teaspoon TEA
TREE OIL to 16 ozs of water in a spray bottle, Spray the wound
2-3 times per day.
WOUNDS
WITH DRAINAGE OR PUS:
Tests conducted by the Essential Oils Data Research Center in
Vancouver, WA found that " TEA TREE OIL solution is
a very satisfactory agent for the sterilization of feces and that
it is capable of an effective germicidal action in the presence
of large quantities or organic matter."
Wash wound with LIQUID HAND SOAP, and spray a solution
of 50% water and 50% BIOSOL. Several drops of TEA TREE
OIL can be added to boost this mixture.
FUNGAL,
THRUSH, SKIN IRRITATIONS AND SADDLE SORES:
Use the following mixture, 2.5 cups distilled water, 1/4 BioSol,
40 drops TEA TREE OIL. In the AM: spray with BIOSOL
mixture, massage SOOTHING OINTMENT including a few drops
of TEA TREE OIL, lastly moisturize with BODY LOTION.
At noontime, spray BIOSOL mixture on the affected area.
At PM: Repeat morning application.
ROPE
BURN, ALL CUTS, SCRAPES, AND BURNS:
Keep area clean using LIQUID HAND SOAP. Apply SOOTHING
OINTMENT. This ointment can be boosted with a drop or two
of TEA TREE OIL.
RING WORM:
Add 1 oz of BIOSOL and ½ teaspoon of ECOPURE to 8 ozs of
water and apply to affected area.
FLY
CONTROL:
Add 2 ozs BIOSOL and ½ to 1 teaspoon of TEA TREE OIL
to 30 ozs of water in a 32 oz spray bottle. Spray or wipe area
that attracts flies and insects. This is safe to use on foals.
We have found
that this spray lasts longer than 32 ozs of the over the counter
chemical sprays. For greater effect, add more TEA TREE OIL
or BIOSOL to your mixture. We love the idea of the 100%
natural repellent.
SORE
MUSCLES, LEG or JOINT PAIN:
SUPER RE-LEAF GEL far exceeds DMSO or Absorbine Jr. and
may be applied directly to affected area. Add TEA TREE OIL
for a more intense mixture.
CARRYING AGENT (REPLACES DSMO):
Add 16 ozs water and 2 ozs BIOSOL in a spray bottle. Add
more BIOSOL and /or TEA TREE OIL for a stronger
mixture.
DISINFECTANT:
Any of the above mixtures containing BIOSOL or TEA TREE
OIL will disinfect buckets, boots, feeding pans, barns, stalls,
and your hands.
ODOR:
Using the ODOR ELIMINATOR will deodorize any area.
SKIN
PROBLEMS-FROM SIMPLE DRY SKIN TO FUNGUS AND LICE:
Bathe with LIQUID HAND SOAP then spray twice daily with
the following mixture: 16 ozs of water, 1 oz of BIOSOL and 1 oz
of ECOPURE in spray bottle, and apply with BODY LOTION.
WARTS:
Apply TEA TREE OIL twice daily. If area of wart can be
wrapped, apply TEA TREE OIL and wrap with plastic and a
bandage. Replace every third day. Keep the airtight until the
wart falls off. We have had large fast growing warts fall off
in two weeks using this procedure. A few warts will not respond
to the TEA TREE OIL but if they are fungus based, they
will.
LEATHER
CLEANING:
USING LIQUID HAND SOAP to clean your fine leather protects
against mildew.
CLEANING
SILVER:
BATHBRITE TUB & TILE CLEANER: Spray, wait 1 or 2 minutes,
wipe clean, repeat.
HOGS
& PIGS
CONFINEMENT
CLEANING:
Add 32 ozs of HAND DISH LIQUID to 24 gallons of water,
use spray bottle or a pressure washer.
HOG
HOUSE DISINFECTING:
Add 1-2 ozs of BIOSOL to 30 ozs of water.
UDDER
DISINFECTING:
Use the above mixture.
SALMONELLA:
Spray pens with the above mixture.
MANGE:
Wash out pen and spray with the above mixture. Repeat weekly.
FOGGING
BARNS:
Add 1 oz of BIOSOL to 5 ozs of water.
LITTLE
PIGS with RESPIRATORY PROBLEMS:
Spray above mixture in pens daily.
SKIN
PROBLEMS:
Apply SOOTHING OINTMENT daily. You can spray BIOSOL
5:1 mixture to help with skin problems.
COUGH:
Add ¼ cup of BIOSOL to 250 gallons of water.
WEANING
SCOURS:
Apply liberal amount of BIOSOL to teats. Also use the above
water mixture.
CATTLE
CUTS,
SKIN ABRASIONS:
With 4 ozs BIOSOL, 2 ozs ECOPURE POWER CLEANSER,
add water to make one gallon. Spray on affected area with a sprayer.
Use twice daily until healed. This will help control the flies
as well.
LEG
SWELLING:
Apply SUPER RE-LEAF GEL twice per day. For a stronger ointment,
first apply TEA TREE OIL, followed by SUPER RE-LEAF
GEL.
CALF-DIFFICULT
BIRTHS:
As soon as possible after the calf is born, place 5-10 drops of
Tea Tree Oil down each nostril and 5 drops on the back
of tongue, twice per day for 7-10 days.
CALF-SCOURS:
Twice per day, using a syringe, orally administer 1 oz BIOSOL
diluted in 4 ozs of water. Continue treatment until movement firms
up. (Do not give BIOSOL undiluted.)
CALF
MANGE:
In 32 oz sprayer, add 2 ozs BIOSOL to 30 ozs water. Spray
calf and bedding once or twice per week.
COW-MASTITIS:
Apply TEA TREE OIL, followed by SUPER RE-LEAF GEL, twice
daily, or mix 1 oz water for dip spray.
COW-
UDDER SORES:
Wash with 10 ozs water; mix 2 ozs BIOSOL and 4 ozs ECOPURE
POWER CLEANSER. Use with sprayer.
COW-FRESH
UDDER, UDDER EDEMA:
Apply liberal amount of SUPER RE-LEAF GEL.
SOOTHING OINTMENT, TEA TREE OIL. BIOSOL, LIQUID HAND SOAP and
the SUPER RE-LEAF GEL are very effective in treatment of
any injury. All of the products mentioned contain Tea Tree
Oil.
The Food
and Drug Administration have not evaluated these statements. The
product is not intended to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any
disease. But rather is a dietary supplement intended solely for
nutritional support.
